YJ01: Program Liaison (5 available positions)

This position’s primary role is to provide excellent customer service to program participants and worksite supervisors using an asset based and youth focused framework.

This includes but is not limited to: uploading and maintaining youth info into our database, communicating with worksite supervisors to ensure youth payroll packets are in, troubleshooting timecard issues, visiting worksites, ensuring assessments have been completed accurately and submitted on time, supporting the professional development of youth, and being a strong youth and program advocate.

Two of the five positions will lead a pre-written professional development training for youth each week. Please indicate in your cover letter if this teaching component is of interest to you.

(NOTE: This is not a youth position.)

Highlights:

  • Average of 25 hours each week from early May to August 18.
  • $15 an hour, plus parking and mileage reimbursement.
  • Must be detail oriented, able to multitask, learn fast, and can meet deadlines consistently. Must be willing to do quite a bit of data entry, especially during the first month.

YJ02: Job Coach (6 available positions)

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced individuals to join our YJ02 program team, working under the direction of the YJ02 program manager.

Each job coach is responsible for training and supporting a cohort of 40 interns for the duration of the summer, as well as for serving as a liaison to our diverse portfolio of YJ02 employers.

Successful candidates will have experience in youth development, workforce readiness, and/or teaching. The position may also be aligned with college internship programs to obtain academic credit.

(NOTE: This is not a youth position.)

Highlights:

  • Average of 35 hours each week from June 5 to August 18.
  • $15 an hour, plus parking and mileage reimbursement.
  • Must have experience in youth development and facilitating or teaching in a classroom environment.
  • Must have a passion for working with people of diverse socioeconomic, religious, and cultural backgrounds.
